About Panama

Panama, officially Republic of Panama, is the southern most country of Central America and the whole of North America. Situated on the isthmus connecting North and South America of about 80 Km. It is bordered by Costa Rica to the west, Colombia to the southeast, the Caribbean to the north and the Pacific Ocean to the south.

Capital: Panama City.

Language: Spanish, but most Panamanians speak English

Politics: Panama's politics take place in a framework of a presidential representative democratic republic.

Currency: The Panamanian currency is officially the balboa, fixed at parity with the United States dollar since independence in 1903. In practice, however, the country is dollarized; Panama has its own coinage but uses U.S. dollars for all its paper currency.

Weather: Panama has a tropical weather. Temperatures are uniformly high—as is the relative humidity—and there is little seasonal variation. The temperature seldom exceeds 32 °C (89.6 °F) for more than a short time
